What exactly is my hair type?

There are up to 12 different hair types, and each one calls for specific bristle strength in order to care for your hair in the best way possible, minimising damage, gently removing knots and reducing breakage.

Most hairbrush brands offer a couple of different options, usually fine & fragile, or thick & curly hair.  With 7 different bristle strength settings, 3.5 x firmer than the softest setting, The ONE Brush will accommodate ALL hair types, but what exactly is your hair type?

Hair type is defined by the hair pattern which is the natural shape of your hair strands, and hair texture is the thickness.  To identify your natural hair type, allow it to air dry with no product.

Type 1 -  Straight - lies flat with little to no pattern.  Looks great in a sleek bob cut.

Type A Fine & Fragile - looks and feels delicate, difficult to hold a curl.

Type 2 - Wavy with some texture.

Type B - Medium thick - This hair type is easier to style and will hold a curl for longer periods of time.

Type 3 - Curly, spiral curls and ringlets, that are naturally defined and more prone to tangles and breakage.  Can also be prone to frizz and dryness, and has more volume.

Type 4 - Coily - This hair type has a tighter curl and is defined, it maintains its shape whether wet or dry.  It can be more coarse in texture and more fragile, being prone to damage and breakage.  Can also be dry, which can lead to an itchy scalp.

Type C - Can be more difficult to style, and susceptible to frizz.

All 4 hair types can be any of the 3 textures (A,B or C) giving 12 different hair types.

The ONE Brush has 7 settings, with the firmest setting being 3.5 X firmer than the softest setting, and will accommodate ALL hair types, as well as the condition your hair may be in.  It is great for detangling, vulnerable wet hair, styling dry hair, scalp care, in the shower to distribute conditioning treatments and for flyaway hair.
